Hi Cobb Co.: I would appreciate a look up on my ggg Grandfather's death record. I really want his marriage record and do not have his wife's surname, I was recently told that sometimes the death record will have info such as wife's surname. They lived in Cobb Co. They were on the 1850 census there along with many children. Their first children (twins) were 16 on the 1850 census. I assume the wedding would have been at least 16 years earlier, which would be about 1834 if I counted correctly.In 1830 it appears Giles F. Mayfield is still living with his father, Battle Mayfield (b 1778). There were no names of children at that time.The look up I need is for: GILES F. MAYFIELD and his wife LUCRETIA. On the 1860 GA census Giles is living in Melton Co. GA and has a wife named Christina and some of his children that were on the 1850 census and one new child. I assume Lucretia has passed on or was divorced which I believe may have been uncommon at that time. Any help you can provide on my acestors will be appreciated.
