A friend of mine in Stilwell,Ok asked me to find what I can on her dads' side of the family. The name she gave me was her grmothers' name, Mary Jane DAVIS, m.John Thomas WALKER, She was b. in Marietta before 1900, the actual time she has is 1890-1900. The story is that when she was 4 yrs old(1900?), her father killed her mother with an axe.The mothers' name was Mary, the dads' was Jacob Davis.There was also a son, David Davis. The two children were separated by the courts and never met again. I did not find this family on the Cobb 1900 census. Does this sound familiar to you? Can someone suggest what newspaper to look for in this time frame? Regards, Pat Koger
