    3. We have a Riley Medley married to a Mary ? with the following children on the 1850 census in Cobb County. Mary is there but Riley is not: 312 312 Mary Midlan 38 F SC Joel E. 18 M John 22 M Susan 21 F George 17 M Sarah Allgood 16 F Nathan Allgood 26 M Nancy Midlan 16 F John 13 M James Cox 8 M Mary Ann 12 F Elizabeth 11 F Catharine 9 F Ellen 6 F Don't know if James Cox is a Midlan/Medley or not, neither Mary Ann, Elizabeth, Catharine nor Ellen. The copy of the 1850 Cobb County census was very difficult to read. If someone in Cobb County would verify what we have written, or clarify for us, we certainly would appreciate it. Sarah was a Medley because she is taking care of her mother Mary in 1870 and Joel is taking care of Mary in 1880. Catharine is living with Joel's family in 1880. Hope you can shed some light on this Medley family for us. We do know that we have found Meadling/Midlan/Medlin/Medley/Meddlin all the same family. We found Riley M. in the Cobb County Census in 1840. He bought land in 1849 in Cobb County, can't locate him in 1850 but we know that Joel is a g-g-grandfather. We found a Riley M. married to a Mary in Troup County, Ga about 1830. Hope you or someone can assist us. ----- Original Message ----- From: Tonya Freeman <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, September 18, 1999 9:07 PM Subject: Medlin > Hi !
