Dear List members, I am new to genealogy searching and new to this list. I am looking for help concerning my ggrandfather William Agustus CRAWFORD m. Almira THOMPSON in Troup, TX don't know year. It has been reported to me by a cousin that William Agustus CRAWFORD was born in Marietta, GA either 8 Aug 1854 or 8 Aug 1858. Were birth records kept in Marietta or Cobb County in those years? Does anyone know of a listing of births in Marietta or Cobb County that can be accessed by internet? If not, could someone do a lookup for me to confirm one of these dates of birth?
