According to a delayed birth certificate that he obtained in 1945, my father HARVEY BAILEY MCCLURE was born in "Cobb Co., GA near Dalton" March 1891 to WILLIAM HARVEY MCCLURE (35) and MARY MELISSA GROVES (24). Both born in GA. Mary was probably the second wife of William. The family were farmers but had Baptist preachers as well. Family moved to TX in 1903 with LAFAYETTE GROVES.
