From Cobb County, Georgia, Cemeteries - Volume II: PONDER FAMILY CEMETERY Location - corner of East Piedmont Road and Scott Drive, Marietta. "This cemetery was listed in Vol. I, Section I, as 'having several burials identified with markers but all that remains are broken illegible pieces'. There are four graves, two with inscriptions and two without. One marker was found buried under several inches of dirt and another in the Property Room of the Cobb County Police Department. The third grave was identified by a descendant and the fourth is unknown. Harry Foster picked up the marker from the Police Department and replaced it in the cemetery." 43039 - Ponder, Adline - October 11, 1863 - August 17, 1890 43040 - Ponder, John H. - October 24, 1819 - January 7, 1903 43041 - Ponder, Thomas - no inscriptions Note - the "First Hundred Years" book shows only Adline and John inscriptions.
