Raymond Landerfelt, 81, left us in body but not in spirit. He loved life, people, children, his wife of 56 years, his family and friends. We will miss you, Dad, but our loss is surely heaven's gain. Raymond played semi-pro baseball after serving in WWII with the United States Marine Corps in the Pacific. He was known by many names - Ray, Landy, Chief and Brother. His favorite names, however, were Daddy and Pop-Pop. He was the best man we've ever known _ our hero. His laughter was contagious, his attitude always inspiring and his tender love warm and constant. If you had the privilege to know him, consider yourself rich. God made him and threw away the mold. Thank you, Lord, that we knew him as Dad. He is survived by his wife, Allene Gravitt Landerfelt; daughter Pam Landerfelt; two sons, Gary Landerfelt and wife Patti and Ron Landerfelt; brother Charles Landerfelt, Sr. and wife Jennie; two b! rother in laws, Jerry R. Gravitt and wife Betty and Jim Gravitt and wife Patty; two granddaughters, Melanie and Sarah; and nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, Georgia Chapter, 1925 Century Blvd. N.E. Ste. 10 Atlanta, GA 30345-3315. His funeral will be Wednesday June 2, at 2 p.m., at the Northside Chapel Funeral Directors, 12050 Crabapple Rd., Roswell, GA. 770-645-1414.
