She's my great aunt and had done a very good job at throwing up brick walls in my research :). I found her on the SSDI website. It does not list where she died but just her last residence being in Smyrna, Cobb Co., GA. Which of course doesn't mean she actually died there just that she lived there. Are there cemetery indexes? Are there 1974 microfilms of the newspaper for this area available for viewing? Here is all I know about her: Mary B. "Bitha" CUNDIFF Weber b. 7-31-1902 in Laurel Co., KY ** SSDI has it as 7-31-1903 but I have a notorized copy of a Family Record Page from out of a family bible which it notes all her parents/siblings dates.....thus it shows b. in 1902. 2-12-1912 Living in Secor, IL per a postcard that was sent to her sister Minerva CUNDIFF. d. March ____, 1974. Unsure where for sure. SSDI notes the date. SSDI shows her last residence as being Smyrna, Cobb Co., GA.
I don't find her listed in the Cobb Cemeteries books and nothing in the Cobb marriages either, but lots of folks on this list have Ancestry access and can give you the exact date of her death and certificate number so you can order a copy of her death certificate. It should, at least, give you her exact date of death and place of burial. Found who I believe to be the correct family in the 1900 and 1910 census for Laurel County, Kentucky. Let me know if you already have that - shows parents William and Orlena and siblings Minerva, James P., Delbert, Lula B. and Guy. The 1920 census shows Mary and Delbert Cundiff enumerated in the household of their brother-in-law Elmer Sentel and sister, Minerva. If this is the correct family, let me know if you need these census records.
