Surnames: Adams, Griggs Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hc.2ADE/713 Message Board Post: Hello, I am adopted(my surname was Adams until the early 90's) and I was wondering if anyone here has or knows anything about either the Adams family (Floyd Clement Adams, Sr and Jr-my great grandfather and grandfather) or the Griggs family, my great grandparents being George Harmon Griggs and Fannie Hicks Griggs and my grandmother Alice Mae Griggs(then married Floyd Adams, Jr, then married a Woodruff, and last married Davidson). I know some information since I was not adopted as an infant or anything, but just curious to see what's out there. I live in Cobb County, GA and know that my father, George Michael Adams, Sr, was raised by his grandparents, George and Fannie Griggs in Acworth and the Griggs are buried in Mars Hill cemetery and so are Floyd Adams Sr and his wife. My grandfather, Floyd Adams, Jr, just passed away last Wed 1/5/05 but I had only met him twice. He re-marrried many years ago and had lived in Fairburn, GA most of his life.
