I live in NM and frustration has set in. The information below has not been added to since 1983. I am looking for anything on George Washington DICKERSON b. 06 Jun 1827 who came to Cobb Co. from Rutherford, NC. His wife is named Sallie b. 12 Oct 1829 possibly in Rutherford, NC. They are listed in the 1880 Cobb Co. census. George d. 22 Jan 1927 and is buried along with Sallie in Citizens Cemetery. I only know of one child Melviney "Viney" b. 20 Feb. 1873 in Marietta. She married Charles Drury DOBBINS. Melviney d. 05 Dec 1911. Of this family I have quite a bit of information. I am concentrating mainly on George and Sallie and if they had other children besides Melviney. George is listed in the First 100 Years as being in the Civil War. Other than this, this is all I have.
