Is anyone researching the Gardner/Garner family? My G4Grandfather is Thomas Gardner through his daughter Louisa E. GARDNER Simpson born 14 June 1838 Georgia & died 20 November 1917 Henry County, Georgia & married James Anderson Simpson son of Levi & Martha Ann ANDERSON Simpson 16 December 1857. Grandfather Thomas appears to have been married twice, first to an unknown (well, unknown to me) & second to a Margaret J. who is 31 in the 1860 Henry County Census. Thomas was born about 1808, 52 in the 1860 census, in Georgia. He & his first wife's children: *Louisa E., William A., John G. W., Susan E., & Thomas J. second wife: Emily C. & Mary C. Per the 1850 Census whom I believe to be Thomas listed as Thomas GARNER has a Mama with the beginning of a "G" for her name, born in North Carolina. Aunt Susan married a HARDNETT. Grandfather Thomas died before the 1870 census for Henry County was taken.
