    1. Harry McLean MYERS 1885-c. 1930? NYC and Seattle
    2. Wang
    3. Harry was the older brother of my grandfather Robert MYERS; like Robert, Harry was born at Lempkins Ave. Bklyn, son of Octavius C. MYERS and Elizabeth WATSON and was most likely educated in Bklyn, family all (except Robert) moved out to Seattle in 1910s or early '20s...Octavius died there in 1928; Harry married a girl named Mary; there must be descendants out there. I have a few letters written by Octavius (who was a Confed'rate soldier, b GA 1837) also mentioning a "Sister" but I know nothing of a sister to Harry and Robert; I have pictures of the boys as youngsters but no sister. Anyone related to this bunch? Octavius is of the (Georgetown) SC and GA MYERS clan...his parents Mordecai MYERS and Sarah Henrietta COHEN. I've just today gotten a lot of info on this clan from the terrific Three Rivers Historical Society! While I've got you here, does anyone know anything about a genealogy boom amongst people in the late 19th century? Before rootsweb, even?!? Nancy Myers Wang [email protected]

    3. Hello All, I am the webmaster for the Cobb County GenWeb page as well as the Cobb County Genealogical Society, Inc. This is to let everyone know about some changes made today. Hopefully these will make everyone's visit more pleasant. The surname list has been split into two parts to make loading quicker. The Military Links are all in their own box now to help collect them all in one spot. I have permission from the webmaster who had the pages in 1997 to upload her queries and surnames and I will be working on those over the next few weeks, but please don't expect to see them until the middle of July. It will take me awhile to get them all up and running correctly. I will be out of touch from Jun 24 through the first of July, so if you send me a query or surname to be posted, don't fret. I will post them within a day or two of my return. Hope everyone has a good summer! 3. Hello everyone! I would like to publicly apologize to all those who tried to reach the Cobb County GenWeb site and got the page for the Cobb County Genealogical Society. The mistake was mine. I am the webmaster for both pages and when I updated the homepages for both sites, I hit the wrong button and accidentally uploaded it to the GenWeb site instead of the Society site. I have fixed that problem as of today at 1:36 PM. 1. need correct url for Cobb County
    2. Jane Benson
    3. I have tried the Url's that were sent but none of them is the right one. Perhaps I should add that the page I was originally looking at contained census information, cemetery listings, libraries & archives, etc. There was one big page with over a dozen different squares on it with resources for people hunting genealogical informtion on their ancestors. I have not been able to find that in the Cobb County pages that have been sent in response to my first inquiry. This page I am searching for also had births, marriages, deaths, etc. but it was NOT the Genealogical Society Page. At one time it was the Home Page for Cobb County but if it is still there, then someone must have changed the URL for I cannot find it.

    1. request for correct url
    2. Jane Benson
    3. Would someone please send me the correct url for the Cobb County Home Page? I thought I had it bookmarked but everytime I have tried to find it this morning, all I keep getting is the Genealogical Society HomePage which is not what I am looking for. The old Cobb County Home Page had a tremendous amount of resources, listing of libraries and many other features that is not on the Genealogical Society Home Page. When I go down to the bottom of that page and click on the Cobb County page, it takes me right back to the Genealogical Society Page.
