Can anyone help Judith? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, June 14, 2000 12:11 AM To: [email protected] Subject: {not a subscriber} Arvil Lance Hello...am searching for information on my Grandmother Pearl Lance. Arvil Lance was her brother..The information I have is that he was born in Feb 1897 and died September of 1982. His last residence known was 30080, Smyrna. Since I am trying to find info on his parents (whose names I do not know), can you refer me to where I might find that and also where Arvil was born? My Grandmother also had another brother Ebbie Lance Sr who also died in Marietta area (his son was Ebbie Jr who died in 1996 from what I know.) Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I am new to this kind of research, and am quite anxious to find out about my Grandmother's ancestry. Thank you. Judith Brown Carr 1052 Holly Lane Jacksonville FL 32207 email: [email protected]

I'm trying this another way, via another branch of the same tree. I have had no success in finding a marriage ca 1850 between a ROLLINS/RAWLINS female and a JOHNSON male that produced two JOHNSON sons (Francis Samuel and Richard Benjamin). This JOHNSON male remarried and had another son, Cass JOHNSON, after 1854, in or near Cobb County. Cass knew of his brothers and they planned to meet in 1935, but for some reason that never took place. His brothers were raised in Arkansas with the ROLLINS family. Perhaps if I find Cass, I can learn the identity of his father and then his first (?) ROLLINS wife. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Deborah [email protected]

Shelia, You did great work, contacting the Orton Plantation folks. Had thought of it myself but had not enough data to furnish. Could you enlighten me a little bit. Just yesterday I received a file on Somphronius C. Long b. 1845 d? buried in Long Cemetery, Seven Creeks. M. Sarah E. Faulk on 28 Nov 1857. She was born 5 Feb 1852 and she remarried J.M. Stepehns 6/5/1841-3/31/1907/ Are these the same people mentioned in your e-mail? It certainly looks like it. This info came to me from Gary D. Long in Wilmington. I only have three children for S.C. and Sara (Sally). It is indeed a small world. I'll forward the letter to him and to the other cousins, thanks for all the info.
