Could someone check the Cobb Co. cemetery book for Roswell Cem. Daniel Butler d. 2-28-1859 In case any one is wondering why this pesty lady is asking for so many lookups. The library where I do my research is having new HVAC installed on the roof of a six-story building. Then adding a tin roof over the equipment. Guess which floor the research books are on? I need some advice on the best way to get copies of legal documents concerning my ggg grandfather, Absalom/Absalum Baker. I'm told he died intestate (w/o a will) on August 1, 1876. In Georgia Intestate Records, by Jeanette Holland Austin, published in 1986, there is a listing for "Baker, A. decd, W. A. Wilson, administrator, 1876, Cobb", which I believe to be my Absalom Baker. The general concensus has been that Chloe Ann Owens is the daughter of Jacob Owens on the 1850 census. I think I've found her on the 18 60 census with husband Henry Whitley, spelled Whilley, in Fulton Co. I wanted to take a minute to say thanks to all the folks that came thru with lookups. Thank you.
