    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hc.2ADE/721 Message Board Post: I have gathered some information on the family of Jacob Owens, born in South Carolina. He is in Cobb County, Georgia in 1850 and Milton County, Georgia in 1860. In 1870 I believe he is in Madison County, Alabama. In 1880 I believe he is in Blount County, Alabama. Here is his census information: 1850 Cobb County, Georgia – Roswell District Series M 432 Roll 66 Page 111b Jacob Owens 37 South Carolina Dicey 37 South Carolina (1st wife) Elizabeth 13 South Carolina John W. 11 South Carolina Clo Ann 9 Georgia (name probably Chloe) Mary Ann 8 Georgia 1860 Milton County, Georgia – Roswell District Series M653 Roll 131 Page 623 Jacob Owens 49 - South Carolina Nancy 28 – Georgia (2nd wife) Martha Owens 4 – Georgia 1870 Madison County, Alabama – Vienna Beat Series M593 Roll 27 Page 208A – films are completely faded; information from an online transcription with notation that surname is possibly Owens, but names match 1870 census information. Jacob Owens ** South Carolina Nancy 40 Georgia Martha 16 Georgia Jacob * * Georgia 1880 Blount County, Alabama – Township 14, Beat 11 Series T9 Roll 02 Page 423D Jacob Owin 72 – South Carolina Nancy 52- Georgia Jacob 19 – Alabama Elisabeth Beasely gdau 6 – Alabama There are a few discrepancies, but not enough to exclude this family as being the same one as in the previous census records. I would like to find out what happened to his daughter Mary Ann listed in the 1850 census. I am trying to prove or disprove her being my 2nd great grandmother. If anyone knows this family or is related to this family I would appreciate any information about them. Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.

It was a loose page and I have no idea who the Bible originally belonged to. I suspect it came down to him because his mother was Mary L. Chambers and his grandmother was Martha Duke. I put it in excel form and do not know how to get it into the "form." It should be posted on the Paulding, Cobb and Douglas County sites as Jacob Meadows had two wives and twenty five children who populated those and surrounding counties of Georgia. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Waters Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hc.2ADE/717 Message Board Post: I'm looking for information on Millard Waters and his family. From my family I know that he was the brother of Leverett Waters, and was a preacher, probably of the Baptist faith. In the 1920/30 he lived out in the "country" within a few hours of Atlanta. His wife was possibly of Indian descent and they had a son named Ben and a daughter. I think I've found him on the 1920 census of Vinings, Cobb Co. GA. He is listed as born around 1891, and his wife is listed as, I think it says, Suzie (b. 1902). Also listed are a son, Benjiman (b. 1917), and a daughter, Ida (b. 1920) If anyone has any info about this family I would appreciate hearing from you.
