Dalton, Clayton ? , Newton ?, --somewhere !....in GA. Quite the long shot. He married Margaret Coffey in 1865 in NC (dau. of Austin Coffey and Mary Blalock Coffey-) (Margaret was the half -sister of Keith Blalock of bushwacker fame in NC). Thomas Alvin's father was born in VA and his mother in GA. If there's any clue in names...Thomas named his children Mary Josephine, Sarah Jane , Robert A., Julie Emerette, Sarah Ellinoire, Thomas Lemuel, and Doctor Hill.. It was said that Thomas "left" a family in GA. Don't know what it actually meant.
