Info from Ezra J. Warner's book "Generals In Gray" says he died in Savannah on July 29, 1866 and was buried in Athens. He married in 1846 to a girl from Athens - I have her name in my records but not handy at the moment. He was a career soldier - graduated from West Point. Born in NY but served in the Confederate Army as MG in the engineer section. Would like to locate the cemetery to determine if his stone has more info, e.t., names of his sons. Believe his widow went to Baltimore, MD after his death. Know that one of his sons did indeed live in Baltimore where he died. Believe there were several sons. All help greatly appreciated.
