The abstracts include classified and legal ads (i.e., sheriff's and tax commissioner's sales and estate sales), tax defaulters lists, lists of letters remaining in the post offices, some marriages and deaths, miscellaneous articles, etc. The primary counties included were Clarke, Jackson, Oglethorpe, Madison and Franklin, although notices from many other counties were included, as well as various State events.
