SMITH ALEXANDER was born in 1809, in Clarke county, Georgia. Son of John Alexander. Smith married NANCY STEPHENS, 23 sept 1827 in Clarke county, Georgia, NANCY also was born 1810 in Clarke county, Georgia , the daughter of David and Francis Stephens.... most all of the children os SMITH ALEXANDER were born in Clarke County.....including my ggg Grandfather ELIJAH A ALEXANDER b 1848.....Smtih lived in Clarke county until 1850. he died in Cobb County, Ga. 1862.... it is said Elijah served in the Military ..i would like to find out where and when...He married Francis Humphries dec 1865 in Cleburne County, Alabama...so i know his service had to be prior to this.. thanks you, Robert Alexander..
