I would like to get in touch with anyone who has information on or connections to my Cooper family. My great-grandfather, Rev. James P. Cooper (b.1873 Meriwether Co., GA; d.1932 Athens,GA) was the son of A. J. Cooper (b.1825, d.1902) and Ann H. Mathews (b.1829, d.1907). His first wife Nina and their two children died within 3 years of their 1896 marriage. He then married Leila Moore(b.1881, d.1923) in Dec. 1899. My grandfather, James G. Cooper (b.1901 Griffin, GA, d.1942 Baltimore, MD) was the first child of that marriage. Other children of Rev. James P. Cooper were Joe Cooper, William J.Cooper , Roy Cooper, Coy Cooper, Jack Cooper, Charles Cooper, Kenneth Cooper, Ina Cooper, Nina Cooper, Sarah Cooper Petty, Lucile Cooper Bales, Edna Cooper Gregory, Bessie Cooper and Kathleen Cooper.
