Hope this is the right list. I'm looking for any information on Lessie Jeanette Toney. She was born March 25, 1913 in Athens Georgia. She passed away in Birmingham, Alabama, December 4 1991. She married John David Short. He was born somewhere in Georgia, but I believe Athens also. Born March 23,1905 and passed away May 1978 in Birmingham, Alabama. He also served in the military. I have been told his mother was Kathryn Meade. But nothing else. It shows on a CD I have that he was adopted, but that is it. Lessies parents were John Newton Toney 8/4/1877 and died 8/24/1957. Her mother was Isa Olivia Hooper, DOB 12/14/1878 and DOD 5/27/1967. Lessie also had 12 brother's and sister's named RT, Johnny, Andy, Junior P, Helen Inez, Gaynell, Ervin, Emma, Otis,Bertha, Blanch & Henry. Can someone help please? This is the only info I have other that Lessie and JD's children's names were Bill, Sam, and Bobby August. Bobby was born in Athens Georgia also. Thanks, Patti Short [email protected]
