Hello, I am researching James L. STURGES b. 6 May 1823, d. 22 Mar 1857 in Oglethorpe County, GA. m. female BROOKS. His mother Eliza; father unknown Sturges. He resided in Marshall County, AL, but died during a visit to his wife's family (BROOKS) in Oglethorpe County, leaving three little children who were raised by wife's mother (Mrs. Brooks) either in Oglethorpe County, or Clarke County near Athens. His children were Mary, unknown, and William. He also had an aunt Jane T. YOUNG, presumably in Oglethorpe County. Any assistance would be appreciated. Jim
