    3. Dear list: As many of you know I am writing a series of books entitled THESE MEN WORE GREY. I am currently at work on Jackson Co. I canvassed cemeteries all day yesterday. One I worked on late yesterday was PROSPECT. I would like to see if anyone can help me identify the husband of a ANN KENNEY PRATER 1836--1922 buried there. She did not draw a widow's pension and I have no marriage records that list any surname of Prater in any county. I do have some from Clarke Co. but this one is not among them. She is the perfect age to have been married to a Confederate Soldier. They have sons buried there with her, William L. Prater 1854 and Hugh N. 1856. Any help appreciate in identifying her husband's name so he may be identified as a soldier would be wonderful. I also am searching for a husband or to identify that a MILDRED C. PARROT 1841--1922 is a single woman. I found no pension for her either. and an AMANDA JAMESON 1838---1917. no pension drawn and an AREADNA SCROGGS: 1848--1937 also no pension recorded. These last three women may have never been married and they certainly lived long enough that it seems they would have applied for widow's pensions. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it.
