The colt was from some well known stables at Hope, North Dakota. The colt's pedigree name was "Lord Litton" however Frank named him "Lord Lightning." Frank painted a sulky red and was training the horse when he (Frank) became ill and died. Frank had a keen sense of humor. He said he was from Kentucky which is noted "for its beautiful horses and fast women." I have tons of info on the descendents of Frank McLester. Get in touch if any of this seems even close.
