Hello Jimmy, My name is Sam Stewart. My roots in Clarke County start with my GG-Grandfather Alfred Stewart about 1820 or earlier,as what records I have been able to obtain start in 1800 in Oglethorpe County. I don't know if Alfred migrated to Clarke County or if the County started with him in it. Alfred had 2 wifes, the first was hannah Phillips whom he married in 1800. Indications are that she died some time around 1818. The second wife (my line) was Mary (Polly) Crawford, whom he married about 1820. Most of his childred settled in Glarke or surrounding Counties. Any info on this line of Stewarts in Clarke would be appreciated.
