I was told that John Alvin Clower 9 Apr 1841-23 Apr 1845 is buried in Athens, GA at the Jackson St. cemetery. I see that there is no cemetery by that name in Athens. Does anyone know what cemetery is on Jackson St. if any? Thanks very much. Meredith

This cemetery is on Jackson Street approx. 2 blocks off Broad Street. It is across Jackson from the UGa Main Library. If I remember correctly the land belongs to the city of Athens. It's small and very well kept. Ages ago after this cemetery ran out of space a few graves from this cemetery were moved to Oconee Hill Cemetery and that was when Oconee Hill Cemetery began.
