Dear Mr Crilley I receive and appreciate your archive additions regularly but wonder if the entire database is accessible and searchable. Many thanks from a digitally challenged fan.

The only info on Carolyn in the book Malcom Beginnings indicates she was in Clarke County as late as 1860.
I checked the Oconee Hill gravemarkers list & found these Autrys in the New Section there: B151 Autry, Samuel Walthall [no date] - 1907 Clay, Cleo Autry 1886 - 1953 Autry, Susan Young 1866 - 1923 Autry, Ora J. 4 Mar 1866 - 19 Feb 1905 Autry, Samuel Lumpkin 1856 - 1947 Carlton, William Thomas 13 Sep 1860 - 15 Aug 1942 Carlton, Isabelle Autry 9 Apr 1869 - 27 Jun 1949 The only other Autry found in the Clarke Co. Cemeteries Book was Minnie Autry, who was buried in the Winterville City Cemetery. There were LOTS of Malcoms in Walton County - have you checked their cemetery book for your family? I believe (please verify this) that Oconee county was once Clarke County. . . Clarke county divided and Oconee was formed from part of Clarke County? Anyway, I believe we were always considered to be "Barbers Creek Township" while I lived there from the 1960's. Barbers Creek is right off Mars Hill Road. Watkinsville is the county seat now. If I can help more, let me know. I now reside in North Carolina... but my family and friends are still at Barbers Creek! Paula

Randy, If you totally strike out -- I did some extracts from a few Clarke Co. deed books when I rented LDS film for these books D, F, I, L, O, P. So if any of the ones you need were in those books, I could see if I made notes on the ones you need. Besides renting LDS film, the other way I've gotten deeds for other counties is by ordering copies directly from the county clerk's office. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Miller/Morr/Goodbread/Knight/Allen Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Yc.2ADE/825 Message Board Post: Hi All, I am looking for ANY reference to Kennon Mott. He was born in NJ, but is listed as the University of Georgia Bulldog's basketball coach, 1918 -1919. He was born in NJ in 1865 because his father, Thomas Jefferson Mott, Sr. of NC was perhaps fighting in the Civil War. This TJ Mott is NOT the son of Joseph Mott of GA, but IS the son of John and Ann Mott of Moore's Creek, New Hanover county, NC. Other sibs of Kennon were TJ Mott, Jr. b. 1868 FL, Alice Mott b. 1870 FL, Charlotte (Lottie) Mott b. 1873 FL, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Mott b. 1874 FL, and Euterpia Mott b. 1879 FL. This is a real mystery! He left his home in NC before the age of 13, ended up in the Bahama's where he eventually married, and next surfaces in Newark, NJ! He first? married a Charlotte Euterpia Sawyer of Nassau, New Providence. His second wife was Mary E. Titus, also of Nassau, NP. We're not real solid on Mary Titus' info. If I can nail down Kennon and the sibs, I think I can find the parents for sure. TIA! Tracey Edwards
