Hi Folks I do not want to get a discussion going regarding this, but I felt this virus has become serious enough that you needed to know about it. So please do not respond, just be sure to protect your computers!! A new virus has shown up, called the Bugbear and acts somewhat like the virus' of the past few months. It appears that it may a double extension. Also if you are using the wrong version of Internet Explorer, it will infect your computer even if you do not open the attachment. So if you use an online mail within your browser, be sure you upgrade to the latest version to be safe. Better yet.. if you use Microsoft Internet Explorer, you need to upgrade to the current version. The virus works off of a known flaw in IE that the current version has corrected. But never, ever open an attachment that you are not expecting, or from someone you do not know! If you don't have anti-virus software on your computer you need to get it and keep it updated. Looking for Benjamin (Ben) Booth who left Ga. about 1840 for NC and returned about 1880 to the Watkinsville area. We think that he died about 1881 and is buried there.

I am looking for the parents of the following Royster siblings: 1860 Athens Census: ELIZABETH, age 23; SUSAN, age 17; ORIS, age 9; and JAMES, age 14. There is a possibility that their parents were DAVID Royster who married MERTIS ANN WOOD in Clarke Co., 1834, but I cannot find any proof and cannot locate David and Mertis in the 1850 or 1860 census. She will be speaking on MIGRATION INTO & THROUGH NORTH CAROLINA. The Carroll County Genealogical Society’s annual workshop will be held Saturday, October 12, 2002, 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church Education Building, 102 Dixie Street, Carrollton, GA (just off the Square in Downtown Carrollton, near the Courthouse). For non-genealogy inclined spouses, there will be a car show in Carrollton that weekend too! Mrs. Warren has published many books, journals and transcriptions of legal records.
