    1. [GACLARKE] Milly Nix
    2. Christine Haw
    3. Can someone help me regarding a Milley Nix? I am descended from Obediah Nix who married Milly Akin in 1797 in Georgia. Milly died, probably in Clarke County, after 1830 as she was on the 1830 Clarke Co. Census. I have located a Milley Nix on the 1900 Clarke Co. census, ED 11, Sht 16. It shows she was born May 1821, in Georgia and is 79 (looks like it was 89, then changed). It shows this is the Clarke Co. Alms House, and she is listed as a pauper. Does anyone have any information on Milley ? Who her family is? or if there would be any court records placing her in this Alms House? 3. Happy Holidays! I know everybody is busy with the holidays, except me. I have decided to let everything slide until January 3, when my alma mater plays in the Orange Bowl. So I flunked out, I still attended Oklahoma University for one year, way back when Bud Wilkinson was the coach. Would anybody like to take over the Clarke county web site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~gaclarke/ ?? I think it needs some new blood to get it going again. I have never really done anything with it since taking it over from Carol Middleton. If you are interested, please write to me at [email protected] You would also take over this mail list and the GenConnect boards that are on the web page. Jeanne is busy with Oglethorpe county and I will keep Oconee county, so we would like for someone to take over Clarke that really has an interest in it. I will still be doing the archives for Clarke http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/clarke.htm and for most of Georgia. Let me know. David [email protected] David W. Richard Anderson was married to Hulda Simeons [sic] Dec. 31, 1822. One source of confusion is that there are Indexed in the Probate Court, Walton County, GA. guardianship papers and administrative of a "William B Willoughby, listing 9 minor children living at the time of Williams B Willoughbys Death in 1827. I spent a day in the Probate Record Office in Walton County, but failed to locate the book containing these records. Only one return was found and it listed no children. Further investigation is needed to recover these records.. Since these children could not have been Williams and Elizabeths (they were only married 5 years) it would be of interest to see know who the children were, as well as who their parents were.
