For those of you that might have had ancestors that were involved in the First Baptist Church of Canton, Cherokee, County, aka Ararat Baptist Church, I have placed that history on line (partially typed and part scans). I have also placed online the 100th Anniversary Ceremonies Document from the Church August 20-23rd, 1933 along with the list of Pastors of the Church and the member's rosters. I found the History of the Church to have some excellent information, not only on the church, but on the times and other items of historical and genealogical interest. There are a list of Pastors, Members and the history available for reading on the site. You may find those documents at this link: http://www.usgennet.org/usa/ga/county/cherokee/ You may also find many more items of interest at http://www.rootsweb.com/~gacherok/ If any of you have any documents that you would like to share with other researchers, please email me at ltlbit@mindspring.com Additionally, if anyone has any time for typing, I have been gifted an original Cherokee County History book, from my friend Margie Daniels; which I will be placing online. I would love some help with that project. Also, I will shortly have new message boards available for posting surnames and other items. They are being set up by the server folks along with several other "new" things, so I hope you all will take advantage of those when they become available. Kindest regards, Brenda Pierce P. S. My husband is always looking for Pierce, Millstead, Barton connections. See http://www.ldpierce.com
