Cayce Thornton, Arkansas Elder R H Pittman, Luray, Virginia Dear Brethren: I enclose copy of memorial on the passing of our beloved Brother James Wilson Adams, which we request that you publish in your respective papers. Thanking you, we remain, Unworthily yours, G P Nall Copy to Mrs. Anna Adams, Confederate Ave. SE, Atlanta, Ga. Dear Sister, Enclosed please find a copy of the resolution for you and the family. Best wishes and kindest personal regards, I am, Your unworthy brother, G P Nall In Memoriam Brother James Wilson Adams was the second son of Henry Adams and Delilah Pool Adams. He was born March 19th 1859 (this is marked out & 58 written in) and died February 8th, 1937, having passed the mark of three score and ten years, his exact age being 77 years 10 months and 19 days. On March 4, 1883 Brother Adams was joined in marriage to Miss Anna Hardeman, this union being blessed with eight children, five sons and three daughters, all of whom survive except two sons and one daughter, also his companion, Sister Anna Adams is left to mourn his loss. Having professed hope in Christ, Brother Adams united with the Primitive Baptist Church at Mars Hill, near Cumming, Forsyth County, Georgia, in the summer of 1882. In September 1926 Bethany Primitive Baptist Church was constituted and established and brother Adams was enrolled as a member. Through all these years brother Adams has been a loyal and devoted member of the Primitive Baptist faith and was a faithful and dearly beloved member of Bethany church at his death. The church at Bethany feels deeply the loss of brother Adams. His vacant seat brings to mind his going away and fills our hearts with sadness, but we are made to rejoice in the hope, from the evidence he has left us, that he is now sweetly resting on the other side. We believe when the Saints of God are brought forth from the grave on the resurrection morning that the body of Brother Adams will be among those fashioned like unto the body of Jesus and share the Glory of God in that world that has no end.
