Need help with GGGGgrandmother, Mary Y. Standridge 9/1799 born Indian Territy GA. any help???? Carol

My great grandfather was born in Cherokee County. His name was John Calvin Rice. His exact age has been a controversy within the family. He claimed to be only 16 when he entered the Civil War (Co. I, 36th GA Regiment, GA Volunteer Infantry,) but he enlisted as being at least 10 years older than this. In several census records, his birth year is listed as 1843 or 44. This would have been more accurate for being 16 at the time he enlisted. In his pension records, he does not give a year of birth, but his birth year would have been about 1830 or 32, from his statements about his age. His first wife was Martha Kelly/Kelley. I believe John Calvin is the son of Humphrey Posey Rice and Leviny Kuykendall Rice. They had a son John C, born abt 1844. I have been in touch with other descendants of Humphrey and Leviny. We all agree that my John C is probably their son. John Calvin's first 3 children were born in Cherokee Co. In 1880 they are listed in the Murray Co census. Martha and John moved just north of Little Rock, AR by the 1880's. Martha died 1882 and is buried in the Mount Pisgah Cemetery, on what is now Camp Robinson Property in North Little Rock. (There were a couple of Kelley's that mustered into the CSA on the same day as John Calvin.) John married again after Martha died, but had no children that lived to adulthood by his second wife. He married a third time to my great grandmother, Eliza Jane Price Smith. John Calvin died in April 1937 in Stone Co, AR. I am trying to get a Rice family member to consent to the DNA testing to prove that he is related to the Humphrey Posey line.
