Does anyone know who might have access to any old records of Pleasant Arbor Baptist Church? The Church is located near Waleksa in the Sallacoa Valley. I have checked Baptist records at Mercer University in Macon and haven't had any luck in locating anything. Since there isn't a church office, I don't know whom to contact. My grandparents, Henry and Mary Brewer, great-grandparents Vincent Elijah and Lula Westbrook, great-great grandparents Nathaniel Jackson and Mary Francis Fields and Thomas and Sarah Westbrook are all buried there. I suspect that Nathaniel Jackson Field's mother, Martha Jane Collins Fields and Mary Francis Fields' parents, James and Susan Craig are buried there as well. Susan Craig was a Hopgood and I believe her parents are buried there also. I have an obit on Thomas Westbrook that indicates he was a life-long Methodist. It appears that Thomas' brother William, was a life long resident of Pickens County. Since Thomas and his wife, Sarah are buried at Pleasant Arbor and it is a Baptist Church, I wonder what the pull was. Does anyone have any ideas?
