I've still got some unanswered questions about my Cherokee County ancestors. I've gotten good results from earlier posts and a lot of folks have provided valuable clues. If the list administrator is willing to allow it, perhaps now is a good time to do a "roll call." Ask everyone reading the board to write up their "wish list" of ancestors they are researching and the information they are looking for about them. I've seen a roll call really rejuvenate a site. Roll Call. Looking for information or ancestors of Daniel Steven Gibson/Gipson and his wife, Susannah "Susan" Armenia Hogan. They are my gg-grandparents. In addition, Susan's grandmother, Elizabeth Gibson Hogan was born in South Carolina, but lived in Cherokee County for a while. Trying to connect Daniel and Elizabeth. Mike Gibson
I'm still here, trying to find information about the James A. Price family (Cherokee County) - late 1800's - early 1900's and his wife (My grandmother) Rebecca Carnes. I would be happy to find out anything I can about their descendants (uncles and cousins who I have lost touch with) as well as their ancestors. James A passed away in 1964 in Atlanta, and Rebecca passed away in Atlanta a few years later. I was in touch with a lady via email named Paula I believe. She was a distant cousin on the Carnes side. Since my hard drive crash I have lost a lot of information relevant to her and our relatives in common. If anyone knows anything about the Price-Carnes family and would be willing to share it I would appreciate it. Thanks, John John M.
