Tracey, I believe that current day Acworth is in Bartow County. Probably one place to find where he is buried is the 7 volume ed. by Lillian Henderson on the Compiled Records of Cofederate Veterans from Georgia. Since he survived the war, it may list where he was buried. I am not aware of any records on placement of markers for CSA Veterans. It was usually a family thing. It would help to know which Company and Regiment he was in. Once you know that then go to http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/military/civilwar/34th.htm and you can find that info for him from the Henderson works. It is pivotal to know which Regiment and Co, for instance GA 38th Infantry, CoB. Good luck.
