Hello List. Is there any Swanson researchers on Cherokee list,Hutchison also. I would like to correspond with anyone with info on these families,,Marion Swanson,,Rutha Barker married Swanson..Alice Barker lived with Swanson family in 1880 census,was she sister or sister-in-law...Surely someone may have some info. Wiliam Barker lives with Hutchinson family in 1880 census shows. In 1881 a William Jeremiah Barker married Hannah Jones Jan 1881,is this the same William Barker that lived with Hutchison family??? Verna, there were some very prominent Barkers in the Haw Creek Community of Forsyth County, GA. Haw Creek Church was constitued in 1841 by Rev. Richard Phillips. Forsyth County borders on Cherokee. I lot of my Pruitt/Rainwater ancestors moved back and forth between Cherokee and Forsyth Co. You might want to follow that lead. I think most of the Barkers in that area eventually migrated to Oklahoma.
