According to the book, "Cemeteries of Cherokee County, Georgia" by Shirley Morris, Big Springs Methodist Church Cemetery is located on Hwy. 140 east towards Roswell off of Sugar Pike Road. Perhaps your ancestor is buried in an unmarked grave because I couldn't find his name listed in the listed of graves in that cemetery.
