    3. Hello Martha, Thank you for the information on both the Williams and the Ledbetters. I do not know of a connection to your Williams, but I will keep your information and if I find any connections I will contact you right away. On your husband's Ledbetters..... I feel sure there is a connection way back there. I need to get my Ledbetter information out and look at it again. My Ledbetter's were originally out of VA. I descend from Richard I, then Richard II and then Richard III, and his son, Johnson Ledbetter who ended up in Lumpkin County, GA. Do you have the book, "Ledbetters from VA"? I'm sure we can make the connection with the information in that book. My Richard Ledbetter III moved from VA to Rutherford Co. NC, then he moved to Lumpkin County with his son, Johnson and his family about 1838. Richard III is buried in Dawson County. He was reported to be 103 years old when he died.
