Hello List, Can someone help me please. Is Shilow/Shilo/Shiloh Methodist Cemetery located in Cherokee County GA. I have information that one of my ancestors is buried there, however, I can't find any reference to this cemetery in the list of cemeteries on the Cherokee County GA webpage. If this cemetery is, or is not, located in Cherokee County would someone please let me know, and I would also like to know the correct spelling..... Shilow.....Shilo....... or Shiloh. Flora, There are two Shiloh Methodist Churches in Cherokee County. I know there is a small cemetery (not maintained) across the street from the one on Univeter Road, just outside the southeast edge of Canton. The other church is on Shiloh Church Road in the extreme northeast part of county, near the Dawson County line. I do not know if there is a cemetery or not but would certainly expect there to be be one at almost all rural churches. There is also a Shiloh Methodist Church and cemetery in Cobb County on Wade Green Road at I-75, this is only about 1 or 1-1/2 miles from Cherokee County. And another Shiloh Methodist Church in Forsyth County, just north of Midway on Shiloh Road just off of Highway 9, again only a mile or so from Cherokee County line. Very confusing isn't it. There is a Cherokee county cemetery survey book that lists all burials up to the 1990s.
