Thank you so much for this web-site. It is wonderful history reading for anyone. I have wondered if maybe my great grandmother could have came from this Wattie Cherokee line. I may never really know. What is so odd is on her death record from Troup Co Ga 1929. This information was given by her son Odie Cleveland Webb (July 10, 1889 Cherokee Co birth record died Mar 18 1970) he said her mother was Sarah and father Charlie I just cannot find a Charles or Charlie Wates old enough to be her father. Frances was born about 1861. I just do not believe that any woman with 10 children of her own could forget who her parents were. She must have passed this down to her children. Thanks again, Mary
