Mary, To further muddy the water, I found my LEVI WATTS in the GA 1850 Census listed as WATES. So the bunch is probably all tied together. It was the only year that the spelling varied so I lay it off to the census taker and not a variation of the family. Mickey

I'm wondering if you might be connected to Alice or Mary Unit Watts in Panola county Texas? Alice was born 1857 and married Batte Peterson Clark. When Alice Died her sister Mary Unit married Batte. We do not have much information on Alice or Mary and was just hoping they might be of the same family as yours and you could share information with us.
