The 1850 Census indicates the Thomas Francis family were residents of the 31st District of Forsyth County Joseph (age 27) & Rebecca (age 22) KELLY were residing in Cherokee County. The Joseph KELLY family moved to Arkansas in the late 1850s. The FRANCIS family remained in GA Thomas FRANCIS died 28 Sep 1876 and is buried in Andrews Chapel Cemetery located near the Cherokee/Forsyth county line. Elizabeth Francis was sister of Rosetta CREAMER, Arnold, Cynthia, & Nancy FRANCIS, Elizabeth HAYGOOD, Thomas M, Sarah & Susan L. FRANCIS. Susan may be the Susan L. Mason listed in the 1880 Census of High Tower, Forsyth County. This information will fill one of the few blanks in the family history of Joseph and Elizabeth R's great-grandaughter who celebrated her 90th birthday earlier this year.
