This obituary may relate to your family: May 2 1915 edition of the Cherokee Advance (collected and annotated by John Carver) Mr. Henry James Galt died Saturday morning at his home in Cartersville. Mr. Galt was the son of John R. and Amanda Galt and was born August 28, 1852 in Cherokee County, Georgia. He is survived by three sisters. Mrs. Reece of Marietta; Mrs. Meager of Atlanta; Mrs Off of Acworth; and one brother, Mr. J.E. Galt of Kennesaw. Also surviving are his widow, two sons, H.J. Jr and Will Galt and four daughters , Mrs A. Cook, Mrs. W.A. Brown, Mrs. Arthur Brewer and Miss Clyde Galt. The remains were carried to Oak Hill cemetery in Cartersville for burial.
