Bill Price, You indicated that you were in search of any Prices or their Kin. My father, Truman Otis Price (Known as Abijah Truman Price before he joined the navy in 1919 or 1920) was born in Cherokee County. He came from a rather large family (6 or 7 siblings). I recall him speaking of Ballground, which I believe is in Tennessee. His parents were James Allen Price and Rebecca Carnes Price. His line has spread into Florida and Oregon. I, my two children, and three grandchildren live in New Port Richey, Florida. My brother lives in Monmouth, Oregon. He has 3 sons and two daughters living in various parts or Oregon and California. While I have been unable to locate anyone of the current generation, I didn't start tracing my family tree unti I had lost contact with what few Price relatives I knew. A couple of my nephews have been doing some family tree tracing. I have attached a draft I received from them. While it is not entirely accurate, it does for the most part have correct names. You may see some that you recognize. I would be happy to share any information that I have if you recognize any of the names and would be glad to hear any input from you. John M. The last record of the these four Galts together was in 1870 in Bells District, Cherokee Co. By the 1880 census, Johr R. had died (?) and I find no record of Caroline's whereabouts. A researcher in Bartow found John Edward and Lela (?) living in Paulding Co. with their half-brother Thompson George Lawhon, Caroline's son from her first marriage to George W. La! > whon. She also found that in January of 1880, Caroline had applied for guardianship bonds for her two minor children in Cherokee Co.
