    1. Re: [GACHATTO] Dover's in Chattooga County
    2. Were your Dovers connected to Simpson Dover by any chance? Simpson and his family appeared in 1830 Habersham Co., GA Census. By 1840 census they had moved to Walker Co., GA (now Catoosa County) to an area called the Dogwood Valley near Ringgold. 1850 Walker Co. The History In Catoosa County Georgia [Including Walker County] by William H. H. Clark says, "W. Dooly came to the county in 1832. Martin Camp, Simpson Dover, Thomas Bryant, Henry Martin, and perhaps one or two others who had married his daughters came with him. He had a single daughter, Miss Nancy. James Martin came to the county in 1834 and married her. In 1836 Dooley and his two sons and Henry and James Martin moved to Arkansas. In 1838 they moved back. About two years after they moved back James Martin and the Doolys moved to Alabama." Pat
