The Joseph Glenn I have information on was born Feb. 20, 1829, son of Thomas Anderson Glenn and Ann Glenn and was born on Hog Mountain in Gwinnett Co., Ga. He was married to Martha Elizabeth Thomason, sister to my great grandmother Ann P. Thomason. These Glenns lived in Chattooga Co. GA and for awhile in Tilton, GA (Whitfield Co.,). One of their children Robert Toombs Glenn was born in the house of Col. Jesse A. Glenn (according to the family Bible). My grandfather, Frank Thomason was raised by his uncle, Joseph Glenn , and his aunt Martha Glenn. Ann came to live with the Glenns when her first child was born (she was unmarried) and continued to live with them until my Grandfather was born. It is a great mystery what happened to her--by some reports she died when my grandfather was born. I have done alittle research on the Glenn family as it relates to my Thomason line and because I am interested in the people who raised my grandfather. I have a great curiosity about Joseph Glenn and would love to know what sort of man he was. I know that he was a lawyer. Let me know if you have any further info on Joseph.
