    3. "Today, about 4 month late, I renewed my membership in the Chattooga County Historical Society, having been a member for a number of years. The Society publishes a quarterly journal which is full of historical information about the county and the families that are or have been a part of the history. The Chattooga County Historical Society P.O. Box 626 Summerville, GA 30747 Bill Stephenson" Bill, You have had more luck than I with the Historical Society. Since 1998, when I sent in my check and application, I have unsuccessfully attempted to join the Society. Also, it took 3 letters and 2 faxes before I was able to get 2 back issues of the Gazette that I requested and paid for. If the Society is under new leadership or if you know the name of the contact person, I would appreciate your posting it to the list or emailing me directly. Thank you, A. 3. Recall that they had some problems during the time frame that you mentioned. Then they published double issue of the Quarterly, in the fall as I recall and they have been coming regularly since then. The web site says that the annual membership is $8 but I believe that went up this year to $12 and the site has not been updated. All I have is the address listed below. If there is anyone on this list that has better and more recent information - let us know. Bill Stephenson ----- Original Message ----- From: A.
