Hi Anne, Would you please do a lookup for John Cobb and Francis (Fannie) A. House. They were supposed to have been married somewhere in the 1890's. Thanks so much. Cindy {I have rented the Chattooga Co. Marriage records microfilm and will have it for the next month in our LDS Family History Center. I go there once a week and would be willing to do lookups for the next month. Let me know. My first visit will be Thursday, April 26 and every Thursday after that. I may get there more often but, every Thursday for sure. Anne}

Anne, You are SO very kind to offer this lookup. Would you see if the following marriages are recorded in Chattooga County? S. R. WHEATLEY (possibly mid-1800s - 1860 or a few years before) Charles Robert ("Charlie") SALMON to Sarah Elizabeth ("Lizzie") BROWNING (possibly late 1800s) Thanks again. Linda (txsvalley@aol.com)
Anne, Thank you so much for your offer. Please see if you can find the marriage of Nellie E. ALLEN to William WILLINGHAM, probably around 1924. Also, I'd appreciate it if you would look for Mary (Cobb) ALLEN to William M. BRICE. I think it would be between 1910 and 1920. John

Posted on: Chattooga Co. Ga Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Ga/Chattooga/10427 Surname: HAMMOND, HENDRIX, PETTYJOHN ------------------------- I need information on a J.L. Hammond Sawmill it was located in Chattooga Cnty, Ga or close by. It was ran by Joseph L. Hammond who was orginally from Hall Cnty, Ga. He was married to Nancy Caroline Hendrix who was born in Hall Cnty, Ga also. They were listed in the 1860 census as living in Chattooga Cnty. They were my grgrgrandparents. Would like to get any information on them and the sawmill. They are buried in the Howell Cmty. Chattooga Cnty, Ga. I saw a picture of this sawmill with his crew. It included a Millard Pettyjohn, my grandfather, and a J.H. Hendrix. Would like to know what relation he is to the Hammond's. Thank you for any help.
I am not sure how to answer your question. If you submit articles, there is surely no charge and as in all publications there is an editing process.. If you advertise, I would expect a charge. There was a searchers column in the Summer 2000 issue that had surnames that folks were seeking. Perhaps you should write to them for more specific information.
