Bourn) To: dias@redriverok.com, GACHATTO-L@rootsweb.com Janice, My great grandmother was a Lively. Her father was a James Hall Lively. Their whole family seemed to involved in the textile industry. Don't have a clue if they are in your Lively line or not. (see end of my e-mail) There are Livelys listed in Chattooga County in the 1860 GA census. All I did was list their names in my notes and what I assume to be the number of their record, which I'll include. (It has been a couple years since I did the research.) But the ones listed there are John (593) and Joseph (620). There are 2 Livelys listed in Walker Co.: Bevely (756) and William (716). Also, I found some Lively marriages in Oglethorpe Co. They were listed in a book "The Historical Collections of the GA Chapters of the National Society of the DAR", Vol. 5, p. 197 at a local library. Would that be in that same neck of the woods? --C. Anne, could you kindly check for any marriages of Mobley's on the list? Thank you.
TO: Anne I simply cannot resist your most kind offer! I have numerous Sewell's in the Summerville area.....I will be most happy to reimbuse you for expense of any copies you may find to mail to me if that would be simple for you, rather than write each down, etc. Or given some time this coming week, I could try to list the names for you......some are couples and others I do not know if they got married or not..........reason for the request. You may reply to me at the following, as this is my first time to post as fairly new subscriber to list: whoopersnest@hotmail.com Thanking you in advance, Bobbie on the TX coast..............

Back about a year or so ago there was a lengthy discussion on Strickland. Might do a query on the list archives and see what turns up. Steve does have email as it was on the list within the past couple of weeks but I did not capture it. If you find it, let me know and I will try not too loose it again. Anne Would you please look up my grandparents marriage date for me. Melvin Eugene Phillips and Maude Mildred Dodson, they may have gotton married in Rome/Lindale, Floyd County, Ga. But they were from the chattooga county or walker county areas, they would have been married in the mid or late 1920's. Thank you very much Anne for your time you are an angel of genealogy. It is humiliating to say that I put down the wrong last name for the wife of JOHN ALVIN JONES. It should be MARGARET KENDRICK. I get my 'K' cousins confused sometimes.
