    2. Bill Stephenson
    3. Linda, Here is my understanding. If the materials were copywrite before 1920 then they can be posted to USGenWeb. If after 1920 they can only be posted with the consent of the holder of the copywrite. Records that are from the public domain can be transcribed and posted (eg land records, marriages, census, etc). If my understanding is incorrect, perhaps our list manager will let us know. Bill

    1. Re: [GACHATTO] Foster House
    2. Dear Steve, I have a copy of the deed dated 1902 for the sale of the home. It was once owned by Capt Kinchen Rambo Foster. A couple of yrs ago my grandparents were in the area. They stumbled on Foster St and got out and started walking around. This old house caught their eye and the own. Chuck Porter came out and told them he owned it and gave them a copy of the deed dated 1902. I would like to be able to touch base with him and maybe get a tour of the home??? :-) . I would appreciate any help you might be able to provide. Maybe someone in the community can tell me something about the house that was owned by Confederate Capt. K R and Miss Malissa Mayo Foster????? Sincerely, Michelle-TX I will be coming to the area May 28 & 29 and would love to catch up with someone that might know something. I will be staying with Mr and Mrs Smith on Dirtsellar Mtn.

Let me > know and I will get it done as soon as possible. If you don't have Excel, the easiest way to transfer them to a webpage is to type them as text with a comma where you want a column to go. For example Lastname,Firstname,Lastname2,Firstname2,Date,Book,page Jones, Larry W., Smith, Mary Jane,11 Dec. 1850,A,235 This this can be opened with Excel as a comma delimited file and very little adjustment except for column width and column naming has to be done. IF you want to type them this way, save them as a txt file, send it to me as an attachment and I will convert it for you. Donna Parrish Chattooga Mail List admin

    3. Ken, I am planning on transcribing all of the marriages from 1839-1880 in the next couple months. I just need to know the best way to get them on the website. What program is best to use. Someone suggested Excell but, I don't have Excell. Would Microsoft word or office due? Let me know and I will get it done as soon as possible. If someone else wants to do the later years after 1880. The records are on microfilm that can be rented from the LDS Library in Salt Lake. It has to be kept at an LDS Family History Center and viewed there. That is what I am doing. Let me know what you would like. If there is no interest in this, tell me now so I won't spend a lot of time on this. If someone else has volunteered, let me know. Thanks Anne

I have a book The History of White Georgia that gave me a lot of information on him & my GGGrandmother was Nancy Lourana McEver. They are both buried in the cemetery at Woffords Crossroads Bapt.Church in White. I also have a book on the McEver family. They lived in Cass Cty. I have tried to get copies of both books but was told that there are no more available. Please be patient with me & I will get it done & will help as much as I can. Susan White Livingston

    1. [GACHATTO] William White family
    2. Donald Livingston
    3. My GGGGrand Parents William & Sarah White are buried in the S. Carolina Campground Cemetery. I have not been able to find any further information on this part of my family. I live in Marietta, Ga. and went to the Cobb County Library & read through the Robert Baker book but could not find any information on them. I found a reference to them in the John James Davison family but could not find the section about William White. Was this section left out of the book or is it listed somewhere other than the family section ? I plan to buy the book as it contains more about the family but William & Sarah White are my major interest at this time. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Susan White Livingston
